What do all you ladies think about your Moon cycles? I find it to be a very introspective time. Were you raised to see the sacredness of it, or to abhor "aunt flo"? Just curious, as I just had to get off the pill, because it makes me feel crazy and unbalanced..so that's my question...:)

Here's an old entry that might have some good links for ya: cycle like girl

I have been having issues with my period for a bit now and have been taking careful note of changes. I notice that even though my hormones are still managing to find some balance (crazy pms lately) I still look forward to my moon time. It's become sacred to me because I worry less about maintaining image during that time.

I guess I came to neither abhor or adore my cycle growing up - it was just something to *deal with*.

But, once I was off the pill, I did have a new respect for my cycle. I started to track my cycle and learn more of my body's natural rhythm. I even felt when I ovulated, which I hadn't ever noticed prior to the pill.

It's funny to read that post 6 months after the fact, especially since I'm sitting here nearly 4 months preggers! I'll admit, having a baby was part of the idea in ditching the pill, but, doing all that reading and knowing how much better I felt has convinced me to stay hormone free in the BC department.

I feel a ton better after being off the pill for 3 weeks..Women's Bodies Women's Wisdom by Christine Northrup is a great source for all things Woman.
